I like your idea....old folks or not. The simpler the better, and it looks like a great place to relax. Can it be reserved?

Oh, and another thing: James and Penny have secured ISDN access nearby for anyone who needs it....but can we get a show of hands on who's bringing portable set-ups for their rooms?

I'm taking my portable set up as I understand that the recording booths will have a fee and I most likely won't need ISDN.
I'm also up for the X bar or anywhere else!

I'm bringing my laptop and mic out there just for auditions and stuff. If I have a good job, I may pony up the dough to use the pro booth, but I doubt it will happen Smile

You know, I thought the name badges would be a little lame, but now I'm glad we'll have them...especially if we're meeting a bar!! Wink

I will have my portable equipment with me, and more than likely will have to do at least a couple of jobs while I'm there because a couple of the stations with which I work have stuff for me every week.

Portable studio at the ready - worked consistently while here in New York - set up with mattress and bookshelf in the basement of my mother's home. Other than the constant phone calls and the tippy tappy of her dog's toenails on the floor above - wait, the constant whir of her walker as she zips from her computer room to the kitchen - we did OK. Well, better than OK, I think I actually had one of the best self-directed sessions of my career (at least the client loved the track and wants more.)

X-Bar is fine - but I'm already late to the party, so I hope that I can find someone's coattails to hang onto.

I registered...but I'm not going. I just can't bear the thought of being away from my (at the time of VOICE) 4-month-old son. He's just too cool for school and we're SO right in the midst of the "every day is something new" thing.

I really wanted to go this year but family first, you know?

I will definitely miss meeting all of those of you who are going, though Frown

I agree you made the right choice family first.
You know that there will be lots of pictures and chatter from those going.
I can't wait to to put a voice and a face to all the folks here.
With that who is getting in when and any body flying on American out of Chicago on Thursday on 1745 ?
X-bar sounds great for Saturday night(Hmm I wonder if they have milk and cookies
oh yea no milk and cookies now have to wait till December Seltzer with lime is better for me) sorry day dreaming ouch just got reality check have to go mow the lawn, later all
