Ok - with all of this llama/ostrich abuse I think I just turned into a mega vita-vegan-vegamin.

So strange to just jump to the last page of a thread with the heading of "End of Savvy"...and see llamas, ostriches, vitamins, and pirates.

I promise to start at the beginning from now on.

It's like that game you used to play in grade-school where you sit in a circle and whisper something to the person next to you, and they whisper it to the person next to them...until it gets 'round to where it started...unrecognizable from its origins.

This thread should officially be called the ADHD thread.

Michael, I tend to agree with you.
This thread was meant to be a dignified eulogy to Savvy. There were many good times and bad times shared by many at Savvy, and it deserved a fitting burial. However, it has somehow turned into a rather silly series of posts about watercress, cows, ostriches and llamas.
All I really have to say about this sorry turn of events is.............................................................................................

Hey, look - there's a firetruck! Woohoo!

Oh, didn't you know there was a hazing ritual? Smile

Peace,

...then add a teaspoon of vinegar just to settle the baking soda and serve with deep fried 'possum skins.

There - that should get us back on track!

Don, do you marinate your possum skins before you fry 'em?

Reminds me of the wonderful parody by Big Daddy of Captain & Tennille's "Muskrat Love" called "Hamster Love": "For breakfast, for lunch or while dining/As a snack, munch their deep-fried fur lining/Into your mouth with a shove/Tastes like - hamster loooove"

Ostriches, llamas & possums, oh my.... Gasp

I guess after 16 pages of wailing of gnashing of teeth, (at times) with some amazing threadjacks, it appears folks seem ready to move on & let it go?

OK...I just spent an hour reading all 16 pages.
Am I allowed to post now????

I, too, like many here, are mourning the death of Savvy. As I come upon my first year of FULLTIME VO, I learned a lot from all of you there. Thanks for the guidance, support and fun. I can only hope I get more of the same here(and judging by this thread...with Llamas, chocolate & tea-oh my!...I'll get more of the same).

Chris M, Diane H, Colin, Moe(my buddy), DB, Yoda...and so many others...Your postings are passionate. and honest...something surely missing from "the new Savvy."
I was never one of the "Top 40" Posters there, but read quite a bit, and posted a bit too. I will no longer post there. I could talk all day about what's WRONG over there, but will refrain since most of it has already been said.
I will be happy, though, to sip some tea...Munch on some dark chocolate...but please...throw in some Mango & Kiwi too will ya???!!!!
