I guess it comes down to you, Chris. Are you getting anything positive from your participation? Since the "client" has approached you, quote a rate. If he balks; walk away and bait your hook for the next fish.
I'm not one to say if you take this road, or that road, such and such will "never" or "won't" happen. Results vary with each and every user. I've experienced way too much in my own life and travels to suggest that a particular path a person takes will result in failure. Besides, without failure...how you gonna learn anything?
