VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

I thought it might be nice to post a few photos from the first day of both of these conferences taking place this weekend in LA about a 30 minute drive from one another.

Two the first people I saw at the VOICE conference were Bobbin Beam and Dave Courvoisier.

I got to introduce my son Eric to Dave a few minutes later.

Amy Snively was there.

As you can see, both Amy and I had trouble keeping our name tags straight. She looked and sounded wonderful, but pray that Amy finds her blackberry, which is lost somewhere in the hotel.

After the Reception, several of us who are attending the Dan O'Day Summit got together for dinner.

Ben Wilson, Melissa Exelberth, Donovan Corneetz, Eric Souer and me. As you can see, Eric and I wore our new VO-BB t-shirts.

I'll close with this group shot of several of us, taken by Bobbin so she couldn't be in the photo.

Wow, I missed meeting Amy Snively!!!! What a bummer!! I hope I'll see her at some point though.

Man, that was quite a roomful of people last night, My new friend Kara took all the pics so I have none to post from last night.

I'm so sorry I didn't get any shots of you, Kara and several other friends there; but hopefully we'll rectify these oversights some other time this weekend. But, regardless it was such a delight seeing you again.

....yeah, and Bob, let us in on where you keep your "instant matter transfer time-warp portal" so that you can be in two places at once!

Great blog stories on Voiceoverxtra, Bobbin Beam's blog, and Kara Edwards' blog too.

For me, one of the biggest thrills was meeting Rick Party, whom I SO admire for launching VoiceOverUniverse.

Pat Fraley surprised me with a smooch while Randy Thomas laughed at us both...
