Greetings All,

I met so many of you wonderful folks at Voice2008. I am still in LA, over at the Commerce Casino, letting off a little steam

I cannot thank you enough for the warm welcome, the acceptance and the friendship. All of you. I had one of the most invigorating, self fulfilling and amazing times of my life.... sure the scuba diving was good, but this was something that will lift me up and facilitate me being the best me I can be... motivational clap trap? Sure... True? You bet...

Thanks Marian for including me at the VO-BB table.

I am terrible with names, not to mention my brain is mush.... I finally realized today that my body has been on an adrenaline rush for four straight days!

that cute doggy in the pic is Jazz.. she is current;y 17-1/2 yrs old and is reported to be sleeping a lot whilst I am gone.

thank you thank you thank you

It is a riot that so many of us are Dog People.. Laugh

Hi DB.... some day we should have a Maine VO summit... it'd be You me and Nancy from New Sharon!!...Laugh

When we adopted her at 2yo, her name was Jasmine... but it didn;t fit so she got the name Jazz ... very independent.. or used to be.. now she is 90% deaf and mostly blind...she still gets around well, and even gets into a trot occasionally

Here's the other Jazz:

Jazz is the Black-and-White doggie with his pal on the beach in Portgordon, Scotland.

A VO gathering in Maine?

There's more than two of us, really?

Jazz is lovely, Jason...and 17 1/2?? Wow, you've done a lot right with her, to get a big dog to that age.

As for name-changing...got one a million years ago, and her name was Beau Derek. First of all, she wasn't pretty enough to carry off that name, and second, I was gonna be good gol-derned if I was going to stand out on my back porch calling the dogs in from the yard..."Rhapsody, Mushka, Beau Derek!"...so I changed her name to BeeDee, which fit perfectly.

Dogs don't really care what you call them, so long as you say it with love.

May Jazz give you many more good dog-years!

Hopefully we didn't keep you on your toes too much. I know that Santa and I were acting up at that table.

Greg,

This made me laugh right out loud. If only we had your cooler summers and snowy winters, North Carolina would be perfect.
