Welcome Jason and Jazz. Wow, if only my dog would live that long. I think the kids will kill him before that, though!
And I'm all for a summit in Maine! I'm this close to moving there. Maine is gooood. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Sounds good, Mandy! Let's not make it an official summit so the state won't try to find a way to tax us for it... _________________ Greg Littlefield

Thanks for the warm welcome... after yesterdays 16 hr door-to-door, LAX to home, trip home I am numb... I slept well last night in my own bed next to my doggy.
Edo! .. I have been to Curacao! I was on one of those beats of the Sea that frequent your Island!. I did some amazing scuba diving while there. I hope to get down to Bonaire(s sometime in the next few years to dive their too...
Mandy - I feed her my own special blend of dog food.. I buy boneless chicken breat on sale at $1.59 or so in 10 lb bags. I cook up some chicken and hand rip int apart when cool and then cook rice in the chicken stock, add some frozen mixed veggies and poof. Very healthy dog dog food. (Director- read it as written) (hmmm that'd make a good jingle) COPYWRITE,, I mix the blend 60% rice and 40% chicken.. no more skin problems and no more digestion issues. She is about 38 lbs now.. used to be 45 when she started on the diet 4 yrs ago. It costs slightly more per day to do this than to buy the top of the line dog food. The eats half the volume of food, and her poops are half the size... must take a hit processing all that filler in normal dog food... anywho... if'n yer dawg gits a skinn rash trah feedin it suma this here grub.
Yoda!!! I was having a great time at the table and if anything I hope *I* wasn;t to rowdy...lol ... I started to fade fast towards the end of the night and retired to the room... I was wiped... it was awesome awesome sharing the table with the gang.. we had one of the best seats in the house i thought.. Karly and Santa and Marian and and wheeeeeeee...and the bald guy to my right.. damn am I bad with names.... of course I was drinking scotch that night...
The Maine VOICE Encounter Hi Gang!!.. ok.. lemme get out my calendah and cipher us up a date.. ayuh.... how about we meet for late lunch some sunday in September in Portland... lol ?? |

Well scuba diving is the big thing over here. Some amazing underwater worlds can be seen, especially at the southwestern part of the Curaçao shores near Playa Porto Mari to name one. It's only about 25 minutes from where I live and now it's even more spectacular to have a look there for they're restoring the coral reef that got crushed in a tropical storm some years ago. They've found an awesome way of putting large steel pots with large holes in them on the ocean floor and simply plant live coral in there. Within a matter of days large quantities of exotic fish find their way there and thus brand new reef environments start to develop. They're placing large strings of pots now, so the coral reef will grow back again. It is said they're able to restore it all within 2-4 years. Really amazing.
Bonaire is great for diving as well (probably even better than near Curaçao), but I haven't been there yet so I couldn't tell you. But from what I hear it must be really nice to go and scuba dive over there. It's the only thing you can do there by the way. I will go there soon with a small aircraft service that takes you there from Curaçao within 20 minutes. |

Oh, Jason, I was actually reading your Maine part in complete dialect. FUNNY! It's one of the only dialects I can do. Cause you cahn't get theah from heah.
And as for the dog stuff...great to know! Gibson - named for the guitar he tried to eat - has major allergies. Unfortunately we've tried 'people' food and it turns my well heeled beauty into a beast. Great for him but not for the tiny kids I have who can't fend him off. Really, he's so well trained but when we went the normal food route he became too much to handle. I've tried it twice in his 6 years (just recently again becomes I'm a little sadistic) and it's been so hard getting him to behave when food is around. I can't handle an out of control dog!! But, the next one will start off with real food and we won't have a problem. Right? Right? _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.
