| That was indeed spendid, although I'm a bit suprised they had you pronounce "ordinary" with four syllables rather than the stereotypically British (to our American ears) "or-dun-ree." |

Speaking of that, do you Brits really say con-TRAH-vuh-see (controversy), as I heard on BBC the other eve? I do like it! _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

Yes we do, although either is acceptable. (eeethur/eyethur).
My pronunciation of ordinary was RP (received pronunciation), laboured slightly to give an air of "where one simply must be seen to be seen". I spent 5 years observing members of the Sunningdale Amateur Dramatic Society in preparation for the role and found the fey Barristers (inner temple) who were cast in lead roles to be a particular inspiration. Of particular note were the Nancy Wolfson coaching sessions on pauses and body language which neither (nythuer/neethur) of us bothered to attend - Telepathic coaching for Voice Talent is the way ahead. On the other hand, I may have just made it up as I went along. |

I finally figured out what PB & J really stands for...Philip Banks and Jazz.
Masterfully done, old boy.
