Yeah, it is just a tropical storm now, but once it gets back over the warm water, it will most likely gain strength.

Right now, per wunderground.com, looks like it's coming at us, but you just never know. They didn't think Charley was coming here (they had it going to Tampa)... then three hours before it was to hit, everyone was told to get going!! And, in two hours time, it went from a category 2 to a category 4! Chaos!

You just never know...

Or, it could miss us entirely.

The waiting is the hardest part (per Tom Petty).

Why don't you just drive over and stay with us in Fort Lauderdale...looks like we are in the clear..haha...weeeeeeeeeell...that was yesterday.

Yeah! It's the waiting. Dolly nearly stalled as she crossed into Brownsville. By then she'd become a Cat 2. And then lingered for over a day. It was all the rain and flooding that did the most damage.

An update... all is well. Fay stayed a mere tropical storm, and hit south of us about 30 miles, so we only had gusts of up to 60 mph. A little too windy for my taste... I've been up since 2:30 am and had to cancel and ISDN session this morning due to the unreliable power. It's still pretty windy, but this too shall pass!
