Now that looks like a comfy setup as well as functional. I think you have too many screens on the desk there Chuck. Is that so you can watch cartoons and work at the same time???
Cool studio! |

Chuck, that is one sexy set-up. You already know how I feel about the R2R and the DAT but a great view and three monitors!??! Yowza. Now tell me, how do you keep the noise from that line of screens out of your mix? _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Hey Mandy,
Never had a noise issue with the monitors....maybe a little reflection issue acoustics-wise....same applies to the angle in front of that Mackie mixer...you don't hear it on playbacks though. So far all the producers that I work with regularly like this room more than the last place I was in. That one was a larger room with an s-load of Auralex...always had a little "live-ness" to it. It was workable though...I never had any objections voiced with regard to the sound. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Very god to hear. Helps to be a professional and know what noise sounds like! _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Wow Chuck is all I can say. That's frickin beautiful. I love the way each photo revealed yet another piece of equipment which I have no idea how to use. What's the kitty's name again?
Todd, your studio looks grand as well. A picture is worth a thousand words especially when they have signatures like yours do. |

Stunning. Gorgeous. And here I am in my ghetto-fabulous little cave. Yet guys always say "nice rack," so I guess it's good enough... (I won't bore you with the comments they make about my cat.) _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

Thanks everybody, but my set up isn't in the same league as Chuck's!
The best part of mine is that I turned the closet into a VO booth, with help from John Weeks. He is the man and has helped me tremendously.
My "Wall Of Fame" consists mostly of people I interviewed in my radio days. John Waters, Little Steven, Robert Smith, Andy Summers. The Dave Grohl pic is from my 40th birthday cook out in LA. An old friend of mine produces the Foo Fighters. _________________ http://toddvoice.com/ |

That was a birthday I'll never forget. We went to visit my friend and he said "We're going to throw a cook-out for your birthday". I thought, "Great".
Then he said "I invited Dave". I was a bit nervous at first, but he is honestly the coolest guy in rock. He toasted me and we did shots until the wee hours. By the end of the night, it was me, Grohl and another friend sitting at a picnic table talking about fireworks.
Good time. _________________ http://toddvoice.com/ |

Chuck and Todd,
Great looking production diggs. I still haven't "come out of the closet". Resist the urge, Pinto.
Chuck, where in the world do you get Ampex 456 R/R tape?
