Yeah, the camera angle didn't do her any favors, but great article...thanks for the heads-up, Liz! |

Her comml demo is amazing...
and just to show what it means to be a voice for hire she has a little blurb for Bill Clinton and then a little blurb for GW Bush -- before the demo goes off into crazy-land and her specialties.
Facinating.,
..and she lives in Ann Arbor!!!
Thanks for the link, Liz _________________ http://MichaelSchoen.com |

Thanks for finding this Liz!
I love Pamela Lewis. She was my very first voiceover teacher when I finally decided to get up off my butt and do something about learning how to do voiceovers besides reading about it. I'd read her book "Talking Funny for Money" which I highly recommend, and when I found out she was teaching a class in NYC, I signed up! Anybody interested in Cartoon Character stuff will benefit from her class and the book.
Pamela is a warm and wonderful teacher and she is so generous with her time and her talent. She mentored me for long after the class ended and she is still available for telephone coaching if anybody is interested. I have a friend who recently worked with her on his cartoon / character demo and has gotten some good response from it.
By the way, she has these really great big beautiful eyes which is why she looks a little funny in that photo from that angle.
Anyway, she does come into NYC a couple of times a year to teach her class at the Voiceovers Unlimited studios over on W. 18th street.
NEW FLASH! Pamela's NYC class is THIS WEEKEND! If you are interested (I've no idea if there's still room) here's the info:
Quote: | 'TALKING FUNNY for MONEY'
Weekend intensive - Sat. August 23rd and Sun. August 24th
# 11AM to 3PM - (break) - 5 to 9PM - both days. Fee: $399.
For more info go to http://www.TalkingFunnyForMoney.com.
* Mention you learned about it here on the VoiceOvers Unlimited web site. * |

Thanks, Liz, that was so cool. I wonder who got the things she left for someone else? _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Geez - let Carter make my rum and guanabana drink and I saw "Pamela Anderson" interview instead of Pamela Lewis - and wondered what in the heck! And I've looked at this thread before!

Pamela IS great. I took her class a while back. She doesn't bs you and as Joe said, she's really supportive even after you've taken her class. She's good people and a great teacher aside from being awesomely talented. |
