I agree with Melissa on the pronunciations...(of course)
SAG-tih-kos and L-I-Double R -- or L-I-R-R never pronounced LEER.
Any complete traffic report in metro NY has those two included. They are always in trouble!
((Traffic reporters call the George Washington Bridge "The George" and the Williamsburg bridge "the Wllie-B"))
On driving in L-A, I got very much into it when I lived there, but when I have been back, I found myself a bit out of the rhythm.
Never could turn right onto a busy street like Franklin or LaBrea... and found that very interesting. (nevere a lull!)
I drive in Manhattan all the time, when the light changes, you turn left quickly before oncoming traffic.
In L-A you can never do it.
Nothing in the world like the 405. Eight lanes of s--l--o--w moving traffic.
Yes, people are nice if they don't take out their guns and shoot you. _________________ http://MichaelSchoen.com |

Yep, the 405, the world's longest parking lot. _________________ Be well,

Nah...that's the L.I.E (Long Island Expressway) ...we were talking about NY, right?
