For messages-on-hold is compression a complete no-no or is it AOK?
I'm messing about with Bomb Factory and it made me wonder.
I've always adjusted gain to make things consistent.
Consistent-ish, anyway. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

A touch of compression is fine for message on hold use, for the purpose of helping even out your levels between the narration and the background music. I've been producing on hold content that way for 17 years. I've had no complaints. |
