Since I have no idea what features all of you may or may not have as a part of your digital editing software, I've just gotta ask: Don't you have a digital timer built in?

I need it in my vocal booth - I can't really see the screen from in there because of glare. See?

Plus I'd like to start the timer exactly when I start speaking.

Thanks - it's my home away from home.

that's a Control24 and it's more of a controller than a mixer - it controls 24 tracks at once. i produce weekly nightclub radio spots (not voiced by me) and i use between 4 to 6 tracks for vocals, another 4 to 6 for music (paired as stereo), 2 more for Sound FX, and 3 for bussed FX plugins, plus a Master so since these are usually last minute requests and need to be done same day, I need to mix it as quickly as possible, and an 8-channel controller (nor especially just a mouse) will not cut it in time. Sometimes I use 8 fingers at once during the mix... ol' school style Ninja

I about drooled on my keyboard when I looked at that picture, Anthony. You said that's your "home away from home" I take it that it's not at your house? I hope I have a set up like that someday! Bitchin Right now I'm just trying to convince my landlord to let me turn the 2nd bedroom/office (where I currently record anyway) into something of a studio. Right now, it's serving it's purposes, but I keep wondering what'll happen when I actually get some paying work. . .Anyway. . .That space is AWESOME!!

Yeah - I live about 30-40 minutes from my studio. It's much easier to get in and out of NYC from the studio than my house so last minute auditions or sessions in NYC are a snap. Besides I kind of like having to "go to work" and then leaving it all behind when I head home.

LOL - yeah that and two sound modules is all I have left from my music business days. Sold my Triton and controller, plus a bunch of other units like the Waldorf Microwave, etc. And yeah, no Lava Lamp - it used to give the green light to some artists to go ahead and light up in my studio - which is a negative around my gear!

Thanks - wish I had a wide angle lense so that you can see the entire thing, but it literally is only about 3-feet wide of floor space available and was standing by the door when I took that pic. I stiched the right side here so you can see how narrow it really is in there.

And this is what it used to look like when I first moved in almost 4 years ago now. And yes, that's a sleeping bag.

It's amazing what a little elbow grease and a little paint and such will do for a place huh?

I assume before you started work on the studio you got someone to remove the gaffer tape from your eyes.
