Hello to all Glorious VO talent out there,

I have yet another critique to ask of you regarding an ad I need to put on
www.voicedirectory.com

the ad can only be 160x100 pixels

A computer artist family friend helped create an idea to work with. But I'm not sure what would make it stand out more.

Nor am I sure of the colors. The page will have a link to my website which is due for a change soon.

I thought about using a new logo or such. I still want to keep Let Mary Say It, but I also thought of something like Mary Morgan - The Voice Explorer
because I like to explore what I can do with my voice.

I don't know. It's just an idea. Here's what I have so far:
http://www.vo-bb.com/demos/Mary_Morgan_ad2.jpg

So, please, please, if anyone could spare a few thoughts, suggestions, etc.

Thanks for your time!
Mary aka mythwoman

Edited to fix your link. Jeff

I think you're missing a key point: Nowhere does it say you're a voice over artist.

Hi Bailey,

Yes, I meant www.voiceoverdirectory.com

I was in a hurry yesterday and so obviously messed up and clicked submit before previewing it.

Sorry about that.

Thanks for pointing that out. I've been at Bob Bergen's workshop all day.

maybe if it's on voiceoverdirectory.com we can assume you do voiceover - that's a judgment call you your end ... i'd reverse out the text below and decrease the bevel/emboss effect - or eliminate it completely to make it "pop" more. jmho

First and foremost, the text over the bottom part needs to pop MUCH more than it does...very hard to read.

Also, is that your "official logo"? Just making sure as your branding should be consistent.

Finally, I would probably put a border around it, even if it's just a single pixel, to make sure your ad doesn't bleed into its surroundings (although the effectiveness of that will be somewhat determined by what those surroundings are).

How about...

Mary Morgan
THE Voice

The New York Times said..."who is this Mary Morgan?

In other words, be creative. Make them WANT to
click on your link. Otherwise, save your money.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for your thoughts! It turns out that someone on the board created an alternate image that resembles my website look and I think it's great. I don't know how to post it here the way Deirdre did but the words jump out for certain and the font for my name is again like the one on my website.

I think this will work.

Many thanks for your time to help me out!

Mary
