Yes it's true. 1540 GMT and I have not done a stroke of voice over work. The twin, giant spectres of Poverty and Rejection stalk me like two giant stalking things.

My email is working, my phone is connected and the sign on door to the shop "Mr Banks - Oratory Emporium" was changed from CLOSED to OPEN at 0559 GMT as usual.

I intend to sit in the shop window for the remainder of the day and look devilishly handsome perchance a merrry merchant, purse full of Guineas should pass my way.

Mr. Banks,

My advice is to give it at least another few hours before you throw in the towel completely. (Do you throw in towels in the UK?)

I fail to see how the above named actor, famed for his portrayal of Mr Baldrick in "Blackadder" is able to turn the tide that sweeps me towards the poor house.

Sir, if you are attempting to make light of my distress I urge you caution as there are good Burgers of this Parish who would frown upon such gaiety and dismiss your jokular missive as bad form.

I thought Tony Robbins' only cinema appearance was as himself in "Shallow Hal"...???

Mmm! Good burgers! I'll have mine with a thin slice of cheddar.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. It was a good run.

I used to be a good Pitts Burgher, but that's not the same thing. Though I do like a thin slice of cheddar now and then.

Philip:

Your VO career was stellar and I am sorry to hear of your decision to retire.

Please let me know where and when the retirement dinner will be held and I will try to attend.

Since you've only recently read Brett Favre's new book "How To Retire", I expect your retirement will be about as successful as his. And for that we are all glad.

Since you've nothing to do at the moment, can you please run by the dry cleaners and cobblers for me? I'm overdue to pick some things up. So kind of you.

you are not likely to get any business sitting in the window, regardless of how handsome you may or may not be. Pick up the phone and market yourself.

It's really sad when a great career ends so abruptly.

...shame really.

You could rent out the wee hutty as a tiny b & b, just to help make ends meet...shame to leave it just sitting there since you just spruced it up.
