It was the mic's fault. Hysterical.

I don't what's worse, that she didn't know where to sing or that SHE TOUCHED THE MIC!

What we don't know (and we're probably better for it) is what this lampshade does for a living.

Um, is it bad that I notice the singer is blonde? Or was that inevitable?

What Mike said, although I think we can all guess. (Hey, they probably don't have microphones at Hooters.)

What did she say...? "I was born for this" (or something to that effect).

We should all consider ourselves very lucky she doesn't consider herself born for a life in healthcare.

i'm betting it took the guys behind the glass that long to stop laughing enough to fix the issue.

Yep, we did. But without using myself as an example (I was an early nerd), I'm guessing most 20-somethings (even teens) who develop what they say is a passion for something would at least - in this case - be able to distinguish between an electronic device (a microphone with a pop screen attached) from a round piece of metal at the end of a pole (the boom counterweight). Does she not at least watch performers on TV?

Actually, I have videotape of a four year-old (from 1991) walking right up to my camera, pointing at the mic and saying, "Nice microphone."

The four year-old, I'd hire. He gets it. Smile
