Ah, another list thingy with pleasant written narrative. Something to peruse if you're having a lazy weekend. And Tobey Maguire is not one of them even though his photo is featured up front.

Interesting read. I, personally, would have put Welles at #1 over Freeman, but it's a pretty subjective list. But a good one.

I agree with putting Welles at the top of the list. I also agree that it is totally subjective. A few more names I would submit for consideration include, Edward Herrmann, Peter Coyote, Sigourney Weaver, Edward James Olmos, Richard Burton, James Earl Jones, Tammy Grimes, and Leonard Nimoy.

I'm SO glad to see Cate Blanchett on this list. Her open in LOTR set the bar for me - though I saw it as an impossible bar to reach. But it was that that said 'yes, it'll be an uphill struggle for years and years but we (women) can do this.
