|
|
The fan in my Pavilion DV7 notebook is getting a little noisy and I'm worried about it failing so I want to replace it.
And as long as I'm doing that I thought I might look at making it quieter. I don't use it for recording so it's not critical that it be silent but I'd like to reduce the noise just because it bugs me and I suspect it annoys my neighbors when I use it in the classroom.
Anybody have a good source for reading up on how to quiet this puppy some? Or perhaps some first hand experience? I'm a bit of a geek but this is new territory to me. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

FWIW---A good blast of some compressed air may quiet the noise before you run out to purchase another fan. _________________ Does life start at 40? |

Simple really is sometimes best. Just shot some in there and it's much better! Duh. I do it to my desktop - I don't know why I didn't already try that on the notebook.
Thanks Kasey! Problem solved for zero cost. My kind of solution. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog
