4 different sources sent it to me, they then sent the revisions so that makes 8 emails.
NDA was really bad, REALLY bad.

This seems like a perfect opportunity to plug an interesting book by Patricia T. O'Connor:

I'm with you Bruce. I don't get the spelling errors so much on copy but I do get them with on camera scripts. It's one of my weeding out points, spelling and typos mean I'm not participating. If you can't pay attention to that, then maybe you'll forget I need to be fed whilst on set. Details will kill you every time.
On a side note, I also refuse to audition for any role that is named "so-and-so's Mom" Sheesh. Give me a name for pete's sake. _________________ Pam Tierney

Because my own brain cells have started to erode, and I catch myself making more typos than I used to in my youth, I tend to cut people a little slack for occasional simple mistakes, but if a script is so convoluted that it resembles something written by a small market radio account exec, I will often say, "Screw it; I can't work with these idiots," and I'll delete the audition.
I also delete any auditions for robo-calls because I hate them. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

I didn't see this lead myself on V123, but Rick Riley did and sent it my way, thinking I'd get a laff out of it. More like a head-slap!

I'm pretty much in agreement with you all on passing on the spelling-cursed auditions.
But, as long as we are discussing spelling... this example isn't from the VO world but from radio. For those who haven't worked in radio, an outcue is: in a commercial where a VO goes all the way to the end, it's the last couple of words spoken, so that we know when the spot is finished. (Otherwise, an outcue might be an element like a musical sting or a sound effect.)
At a station I worked at until about a year ago, a spot for a hospital concluded by reassuring would-be patients. The outcue, as typed by the Production Director (in his mid-to-late 20s) was "confidents." _________________ Mike

That GMC writer may not be ignorant, but drunk off his/her arse!
All right, probably drunk and an ignoramus.

or the more commonly used COMFIDENT is quite acceptable.
com·fi·dent
com·fi·dent adjective \ˈkäm-fə-dənt, -ˌdent\
: having a feeling or belief that because you are comfortable you will succeed : having comfidence
Bruce was comfident that his new rocker recliner would see him through the Breaking Bad marathon. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Years ago, I worked at a radio station where the News Director was a notoriously bad speller. One nearby town was Exeter, which he spelled "Exciter." _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
